NWA Coffee Shops

While Northwest Arkansas is notorious for its gorgeous views, the bustling coffee shop scene is just as remarkable. As a student, coffee shops are a go-to place for studying, hanging out with friends, and enjoying a healthy dose of caffeine in a fun and relaxing environment. Due to their popularity, some tend to be crowded or expensive, and are not the ideal places for students; not every coffee shop is perfect.

Here are some of the top coffee shops in the NWA region:

Onyx Coffee Lab – With locations in Rogers, Bentonville, and Fayetteville, Onyx is a popular destination for people who enjoy sleek atmospheres and unique brews. Onyx makes a point of offering ethically sourced and environmentally friendly coffee, and also offer subscription services for customers that prefer to roast their own grounds. For those that are wanting to get into the coffee-making game, the roastery offers classes and online tips through their blog to spread their love of coffee.

Arsaga’s – This coffee shop is known for being family owned and operated, as well as being the original, essential coffee shop of Fayetteville. With five completely different and unique locations, they serve up a number of original blends as well as their highly regarded toast.

Puritan – The mission of this Fayetteville coffee shop is simple: get people together. Their delicious drinks, popular trivia nights, and late hours are what make them a popular choice for JBU students.

Airship – This coffee shop is best known for its unique open-air atmosphere and is perfect for people who enjoy the outdoors. Right in the middle of the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, this is easily one of the most relaxing roasteries on the list.

Pour Jon’s – Just a short, five-minute drive from campus is the local favorite, Pour Jon’s. The coffee shop known for its delicious coffee and waffles, and is a popular study spot for JBU students.

While most of these coffee shops are a mere 40 minutes away from campus, students can rest assured that their coffee needs can be met locally. Cafe on Broadway and 7 Brew are just a few of the nearby options that students can enjoy if they aren’t wanting to make the drive out of town. In addition, JBU’s coffee shop, Ground Floor, is open for most of the day and offers a wide variety of drink options for those that are needing something fast.
